Reminder: Golf Cart Operation & Safety

Date: October 16, 2025

Over the past few months, our community has unfortunately experienced a few serious golf cart accidents involving residents, guests and minors, mailboxes and street sign poles. Thankfully, everyone is expected to recover, but these incidents are an important reminder of the responsibility that comes with operating a golf cart within The Resort.

Please take a few moments to review and follow the rules established in our Governing Documents, which are in place to protect all of us — especially our children, pedestrians, and fellow drivers.

Golf Cart Rules (from the Governing Documents):

All golf cart operators must obey a fifteen (15) miles per hour (MPH) speed limit at all times while traversing and/or navigating upon any and all streets or pathways located within The Resort and must yield to pedestrians or bicyclists crossing the street and/or any intersection located within The Resort. Any and all golf cart operators must possess a valid Texas driver’s license and obey all stop signs, caution signs, yield signs, on street parking signs, slow – children at play signs, etc.

Please Remember:
• Golf carts are motor vehicles. Operators must be licensed drivers—no exceptions.
• Parents and guardians: You are responsible for ensuring that minors do not operate golf carts without a valid Texas driver’s license.
• Always drive slowly and stay alert. The 15 MPH limit is the maximum— slow down even more when near intersections, pedestrians, or children at play.
• Be respectful of others’ safety. Our community roads are shared by walkers, bikers, vehicles, and golf carts alike.

Let’s work together to keep The Resort a safe and enjoyable place for all residents and guests.
