Work on the main gate will begin Tuesday, October 3rd at approximately 10:00 a.m. The installation is expected to take approximately three days. The main entrance will remain accessible during the repair and installation process however, should we need to close the entrance at any time during the repair process traffic will be diverted to the construction gate and the South entrance gate. To all Residents, please be aware that on August 25, 2017, starting at 9am, Diversified Fire Protection will be on site to test all black fire hydrants for water pressure. You will notice a large amount of water being released during this time, please do not be alarmed. During the test, each hydrant has to allow water to run from for 1-2 minutes in order to gauge the pressure. Water usage or pressure during the testing should not be impacted. We are excited to announce that the boat ramp will be repaired the week of July 31st! You may see contractors and workers in the vicinity of the boat ramp located near the construction gate. Please use caution if driving in or visiting near this area. For your safety we ask that homeowners do not use the ramp(s) until the repairs have been completed. Essex will be closely monitoring the repair process and will send out a new communication once the boat ramp is available for use once again.

A vendor has been chosen and repairs to the system have begun and are expected to be completed by or before end of next week. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and want to thank you for your patience. This notice is to advise you that in the near future you may see engineers and workers in the vicinity of Portwood Way who will be performing inspections and/or surveying the grades associated with barrow (drainage) ditches located in a right of way / drainage easement. The Board of Directors in conjunction with Essex Association Management are working to facilitate a long-term solution to drainage issues affecting the Portwood Way area and this may result in the presence of workers in and out of the community performing maintenance or making repairs. If workers are present, please use caution and drive slowly to ensure their safety.

Essex Association Management L.P. is aware of the malfunctioning gates in the community. The main entrance and exit gates have been malfunctioning off and on over the last month and the most recent evaluation of the main gate has indicated that a new operational system is required. Gate repairmen have been out multiple times to repair the south gate as well and it also continues to malfunction. Unfortunately, the south gate repairs must be done by AT&T. Until the needed repairs can be made the gates will be programmed to remain open in order to avoid damage to any cars entering or exiting the community. Essex Association Management and your Board of Directors are working together to facilitate the needed repairs as quickly as possible to ensure proper functionality is returned to both gates.
